I have used ICD Soft as my hosting company for a few years
now, with a small break in the middle. A couple years ago I started to reach
my 10GB limit and knew I had to make a decision on space. I loved the
experience of hosting with ICD Soft because of their superior support and fast,
east to use product, but there were so many other hosting options out there
that offered more hosting space for less money. I contacted ICD Soft and
explained that I was considering leaving because of that fact, and they did
the noble thing and would not comment on other company's hosting products,
but provided me with a link to a Google search and simply said that I should
research the tactics used by companies that offer cut rate pricing and insanely
high, or even unlimited hosting space and bandwidth. I did the research, it
all made sense, but I decided to roll the dice and cut ties with ICD Soft
anyway and took the cheap route out. I signed up with a host offering me
unlimited space and bandwidth. I recommend that anyone considering doing
the same do the same research that I did, but actually take it to heart and
know that it's the truth. The old adage "you get what you pay for" prevailed...
The support was ok, but rather slow (at least a day for a response. ICD Soft
typically gets my support request to an agent in less than a minute, which
is unheard of... in general the problem is answered or correct within minutes).
If you wanted "priority" support, you could of course PAY EXTRA. In fact,
several features that are included with ICD Soft were considered "premium"
services available at an extra price. Then there's the issue of unlimited
space.... first off, physically impossible. Second, the space was "unlimited"
so long as you used less than 50,000 "inodes". For anyone unfamiliar with an
inode, it's any file, folder, email, etc on your hosting account. No matter
the size, each one takes up one inode. Well, my website is a family website
used to host our family photos, among other things. My wife loves taking
pictures and has over 25,000 of them on the site. Each picture is an inode,
as well as each html file associated with each picture, as well as the index
files, the thumbnails, the folders, etc. JUST the picture portion of my
website, while all under 10GB, takes over 100,000 inodes. They threatened
to suspend my account unless I upgraded to a dedicated server.... for a
family website... So, they can offer unlimited space all day long, all the
while knowing there is a loophole to prevent too many files from showing
up on their service. There are several other issues too, if you actually
try to USE your unlimited bandwidth, they'll suspend your account as soon
as they deem it to be "excessive". How can you excessively use unlimited
resources? The servers themselves were spotty, sometimes the website would
be down for hours with no explanation and no reason ever given. ICD Soft
makes advance notice of a possible 15 minute outage of services if they
are doing maintenance.... let alone explain what happened in the event of
an equipment failure.. The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was
when I could no longer use my e-mail account to send mail to certain popular
e-mail services because the hosting server I was on had apparently received
a bad reputation due to another customer sending spam mail and the server
IP address was blocked by their spam filter... Simply solution, right? Ask
the host to move you to a new server without a blocked IP address? So, I asked.
I was denied, they refused to move my website because I was exceeding their
inode limit... They said I should PURCHASE a dedicated IP address so that
I wouldn't run into that problem.... their solution was for me to spend more
money. I asked the support team at ICD Soft what they would do if I was in
that situation on their servers, and within 5 minutes had a response
reminding me of why I loved their service in the past... they told me that
the problem would be immediately researched and corrected, and that one way
or another the situation would be resolved. They didn't mention spending
additional money. They also commented that a dedicated IP address would only
be applicable to the website, not the mail server. I bet it would have been
the same for the other host as well, and that their support staff simply
didn't know that to be the case. I would have spent more money, and for
nothing. The next morning I began migrating my site back to ICD Soft, where
I will keep it for the rest of time. Sometimes you need to experience the
bad for yourself so you know why you might pay a couple dollars more for
the good, and other times you might actually take the advice of someone
who's been there and seen what it's like and decided to share their story.
So if you are considering a hosting service, or God forbid considering to
switch away from ICD Soft, do a little research, think about the logic
behind other company's offers, and consider taking my advice and believing
me that the headache isn't worth it. ICD Soft has always been a top notch
company in service and support, and in those two areas alone is simply
unbeatable.

I don't usually take the time to write testimonials for companies unless I
truly feel like I've found an asset, which I feel worth my time referring to
others. I've hosted multiple personal and business domains with ICDsoft

different companies, ranging from some of the most popular retail names in
the business, and none of them can compare on pricing or features. Almost
all hosting companies provide 99% uptime guarantees, abundant features, free
websites or design tools, etc..., but a few things separate ICDsoft from the
rest - cost, support, consistency, and no surprises. If you're currently
researching, don't get stuck with some initially cheap host that offers a
free website that will most likely be out of business in a few years.
ICDSoft truly provides everything you need regardless of your skill level or
knowledge in web development offering support within minutes, below average
annual cost, and piece-of-mind that they'll be around for as long as you
want your website. If you're researching a web hosting and domain
registration company, and you're considering the big name, commercial
blasting, overly priced advertiser, remember that they'll pass that high
cost bill to you in the end, and they won't provide anything more than
ICDSoft will provide, so please don't waste your money. I can comfortably
say, once you've hosted with ICDSoft, you will never switch, they've earned
my loyalty.

Have been with ICDSoft for a number of years. My website (photoslondon.com)
is very basic and does not utilise any flash, php, etc., but for my needs
this host does what I require of a host. The site is always there whenever I
visit it - not always so with other hosts I have used in the past - and the
support when I have occasion to use it, not often it must be said, is
scarily quick. As someone who continues to use ICDSoft, I qualify for a
discount on my renewal which is a bonus and when money is lacking - nearly
always in my case - this is very welcome. Unless I notice an obvious
downturn in their service, i.e. my site disappearing from public view, I see

ICDSoft is second to none!
I've been with ICDSoft for several years and have many accounts with them. I
have many years hosting reseller experience and many, many terrible
experiences, but I say without any hesitation that ICDSoft is THE very best
host. That's why I remain with them.
Where ever I've been before, I suffered delays and inefficiency,
particularly for technical support - lodge a ticket, wait 24-48 hours before
the ticket is taken, then wait another day to get a response.Very often a
poor response from people that don't care or don't get paid enough. In my
several years with ICDSoft, I have NEVER had to wait more than a few minutes
for an intelligent, friendly, and helpful response. This is unique.
I don't have to endure errors, problems, accounts mixups, etc etc. It always
works. Their interfaces are user friendly and they work. You don't need a

I host my sites on many hosting servers, and I can definitely say that
ICDSoft is one of the best hosting companies in the business.
When I am working with sensitive time dated material, I need a response from
support within the hour (read minutes), ICDSoft response time is always less
than three minutes. Also the responses are always accurate, without double
meanings, and with a personal rather than a canned answer that leads to more
questions.

I am an independent musician, and I run my own website. I learned about ICDSoft when my old webhost did not

I am very impressed with all the services I have received from ICD.
Each time I have a question I get very fast to the point answers,
personalized and very detailed. I do not have any experience with
server-settings and was worried I would do something wrong, because
you can change so many things. Not only did I receive very fast
responses to server questions, I got a lot of help also in moving my
website and how to handle changing email servers.
I am now going to move some other website over to ICD as well because
it is so much better than anything I have ever experienced before and
all this for a low price.
The hardware is excellent, but the customer service is 5 star and that
is really impressive.

Hello,
I'm writing to tell you what an awesome job I think your tech support team does.
I've been an ICDSoft client for several years, and most of my clients use ICDSoft as well. During this time period, I have had to ask tech support many questions: not because I've had any problem with the hosting but because I needed to know how to do things. Every time, the team has responded to me within 15 minutes, most of the time within 5. I've emailed support during the week, during the weekend, late night; it never made a difference - tech support service has been speedy without fail.
But it's not just the speed of the service that impresses me; it's also the quality of the service. I do believe there is nothing about web hosting and anything even remotely related to web hosting that your team doesn't know. And they often go beyond the call of duty, helping me with things that I suspect they are not legally obligated to. For instance, this last weekend, they edited a WordPress php file to ensure that it would import properly.
And they do all this with a positive attitude - a virtual smile, if you would.
I tell you with no exaggeration, that your tech support team is the best I have ever worked with, bar none, and I have worked with tons of tech support companies over the years. Thank you very much for your splendid service.
