Deleting groups

The process of deleting groups will vary depending on your webmail client of choice:

• Roundcube
• Webmail Classic

Note: The groups Personal Addresses in Roundcube and General in Webmail Classic are system groups and cannot be renamed or deleted.

If you delete a group, the contacts in it will not get deleted.

Roundcube

If you want to delete a group in Roundcube, you need to:

1. Open the Contacts task from the main menu.
2. Select the group you wish to delete.
3. Select the Delete option from the menu (vertical ellipsis symbol (⋮) in the Elastic theme or a gear icon in the Larry theme).
4. A pop-up confirmation window will appear. Click on the Delete button to delete the group.

Webmail Classic

To delete a group in Webmail Classic:

1. Select the Address Book tab from the main menu.
2. Click on the Group button from the menu above the contacts list.
3. Click on the delete link next to the group you want to delete from the Defined groups section.
4. Click on the OK button in the pop-up confirmation window.

Note: When deleting a group in Webmail classic, the contacts in that group will be moved to the General group if they are not added to any other groups.
