The time zone in the webmail clients allows you to view the time and dates in messages in your local time zone. By default, both webmail clients are configured to detect your time zone automatically from your device.

The time and date format options allow you to change how the time and date will be displayed in the webmail clients.

Depending on your webmail client of choice, the process of changing your time zone, time format, and date format will vary:

Roundcube

To change the time zone, time format, and date format, you need to open the Settings task from the main menu, select the Preferences setting, and select the User Interface option from the preferences list. There you will find a drop-down menu with the available options for each setting.

The following options are available in the Time format drop-down menu: 24-hour or 12-hour (AM/PM) with or without a leading zero.

The Date format drop-down menu allows you to choose from the following date formats:

  • 2002-07-31
  • 2002/07/31
  • 2002.07.31
  • 31-07-2002
  • 31/07/2002
  • 31.07.2002
  • 31.7.2002

By default, dates close to today will be converted to Today, Yesterday, etc. You can turn this feature off via the Pretty dates checkbox below the Date format drop-down menu.

Webmail Classic

If you wish to change the time zone, time format, and date format in Webmail Classic, you need to:

  1. Select the Options tab.
  2. Select the General Options option.

A drop-down menu is available for each of the settings.

You can choose from the following date formats via the Date format drop-down menu: Day/Month/Year, Month/Day/Year, or Year/Month/Day.

The Time format has the following time formats available: 24-hour or 12-hour (AM/PM).
