The Products Catalog tab allows you to manage, rearrange, and configure the products available in your online store.

Product description and configuration

You can view a detailed description of each product available in your online store by clicking on its name in the tree on the Products Catalog tab. The product description and all configurable options for the particular product will be presented on the right side of the screen.

The Display Name option is configurable for all products in the catalog. All products will be listed in your online store under their display names.

Most products also have a Max period option. It controls the maximum period for which a product can be ordered. This includes both the initial order and subsequent renewal orders; for example, if you set the "Max period" of a hosting plan to 5 years and an account on that plan expires in 2 years, it will be possible to renew it for maximum 3 additional years. Domain names, in particular, cannot be registered for periods longer than 10 years.

The Reset button changes the value of the configurable option back to its default value.

You can save the changes with either the Apply or the Apply to all button. The difference between the action of these two buttons is that the Apply button will save the changes only for the product you are currently editing, and the Apply to all button will save the changes for all products in the same product group.

Product groups

A product group contains several related products. For example, a "Business" plan in the US-based data center is in the same product group as the "Business" plan in the Hong Kong-based data center.

Applying changes to a particular product group allows you to change the characteristics of all related products at once. You also have the option to edit a particular product independently of its related products. For example, you can rename all hosting plans named "Business" by applying the changes to the "Business" product group, and then edit the "Max period" of each one by applying the changes only to the particular product.

At the bottom of the product description, you can quickly reach the price management options for that product and its product group using the Prices button.

Enabling/disabling products

If you wish to enable/disable products in your online store, you can do so by toggling their Active status on the Prices tab.

Product arrangement on your order pages

You can modify the product arrangement on the order pages of your online store on the Products Catalog tab by dragging and dropping products to your desired position in the catalog. The topmost hosting plan in the catalog will be selected by default for visitors that access your order page directly.

It is also possible to change the display order for the additional services available for a given product by clicking on the triangle icon on the left side of that product and using the drag-and-drop method for the additional services. Make sure that you save your changes by pressing the Save order button.
