Improve Dynamic Site Performance with Accelerated Cache

We are excited to introduce Redis Accelerated Cache and Memcached Accelerated Cache, two new upgrade options now available on our shared hosting platform. These technologies are designed to improve the speed, efficiency, and responsiveness of dynamic websites and applications.

Both Redis and Memcached are in-memory caching solutions that store frequently used data for fast retrieval. By reducing repeated database queries and repeated application processing, they can significantly improve performance for websites that generate dynamic content.

Why Use Accelerated Cache

Accelerated cache is especially beneficial for websites and applications that handle repeated or data‑heavy requests. The main benefits include:

  • Faster response times - frequently accessed data is served directly from memory.
  • Reduced database load - fewer repeated queries lower the overall server workload.
  • Improved performance for dynamic websites - ideal for applications that benefit from object caching, such as large CMS installations, e‑commerce stores, and custom apps.

How to Get Accelerated Cache

Redis Accelerated Cache and Memcached Accelerated Cache are available as upgrade options for Business and Business Plus plans.

Plans with WebApps support (Node.js/WebApps and VPS) include Redis and Memcached at no extra cost. Accelerated cache has always been available on these plans, but activation and management are now significantly easier.

Simple Management from the Control Panel

Redis and Memcached are fully integrated into our hosting Control Panel, each with its own dedicated section for management - "Redis Object Cache" and "Memcached Object Cache".

For WordPress websites, Redis can be configured during installation or connected later through our WordPress Manager.

For custom applications, you can configure Redis or Memcached manually using the connection details displayed in the Control Panel.

WordPress Integration with Redis

Redis Accelerated Cache is particularly effective for large WordPress sites and busy WooCommerce stores, where frequently requested data can be kept in memory instead of repeatedly loaded from the database.

When ordering a new hosting account that supports accelerated cache, you can activate Redis Accelerated Cache and link it to a new WordPress installation, giving you a Redis‑powered WordPress site right from the start.

Our WordPress Manager in the hosting Control Panel is fully integrated with Redis, allowing you to seamlessly manage the connection between your WordPress installation and Redis, as well as purge the Redis cache on demand.

Redis is another practical addition to the "Performance" section of our WordPress Manager, alongside our new CDN service, the NGINX‑powered server-side caching, the advanced AI assistant, and our other useful tools.

A Practical Performance Option for Dynamic Sites

While accelerated cache can offer meaningful improvements for dynamic websites, it is not a universal solution. Its impact depends on how your application works and how often it reuses data. We want to be clear and upfront about this so you can choose the option that best fits your website's needs.

If you would like to see how accelerated cache performs on your site, trying the service is practically risk‑free - it is included at no extra cost on plans with WebApps support, and shared hosting upgrades are covered by our full refund policy if they don't meet your expectations.
